The Beige Detox: Why Your "Professionalism" Is Killing Your Soul Joy
Look around your office right now. Look at your car. Look at your clothes. Is it all Beige? Grey? Sensible Blue? We have sanitized our lives to be "Professional." But we have accidentally sanitized our joy.
The Neuroscience of Play Dr. Stuart Brown, founder of the National Institute for Play, says: "The opposite of play is not work. It is depression." When you are in "survival mode"—which most healers are, 24/7—your brain is locked in the amygdala. It’s rigid. It’s scanning for threats. Play is the only thing that signals to your nervous system: "The war is over. You are safe."
The Sacral Chakra: Your Creative Womb We often associate the Sacral Chakra with sexuality, but it is also the center of your creative life force. In midlife, as we stop using this energy for raising children or building careers, it can stagnate. This manifests as lower back pain, hip stiffness, and a deep, grey emotional numbness. If you feel "flat," your Sacral Chakra is blocked.
The Solution: The Beige Detox You don't need to paint a masterpiece. You need to shock your system. In today's podcast, I challenge you to the Beige Detox.
